Job Details

Responsible for all aspects related to the effective management and leadership of the C&F Department and specialist Desks in their geographic area.

Responsibilities:
• Compile and review C&F SLA in conjunction with C&F Management team.
• Ensure SLA requirements & Timelines support the C&F department’s goals and statutory requirements.
• Ensure implementation of SLA with staff, clients and other departments.
• Monitor performance against SLA.
• Resolve non-conformance with appropriate parties.
• Ensure C&F procedures are implemented, regularly reviewed, updated and followed.
• Ensure allocated system master files are timeously updated with latest industry information.
• Ensure Controllers process all required shipping documents efficiently, inside the system, within the required deadlines.
• In conjunction with C&F Management set Goals for all C&F functions.
• Analyse C&F Daily reports in order to ensure goals are met.
• Identify potential problems files/areas (IS/FS and within 9 days of ATD)
• Assist controller to resolve problem files/areas by liaising with relevant stakeholders (internal & external).
• Ensure Specialist Desk procedures are implemented, regularly reviewed, updated and followed.
• In conjunction with C&F Management and specialist Desk Team leader set Goals for all specialist desk functions.
• Analyse Daily reports in order to ensure goals are met.
• Identify potential problem files/areas.
• Assist Team Leader to resolve problem files/areas by liaising with relevant stakeholders (internal & external).
• Check related invoices for accuracy (e.g. DHL, DAFF).
• Co-ordinate Drivers.
• Plan and budget staff according to seasonal requirements.
• Plan and manage staff leave in accordance with operational and statutory requirements.
• Manage recruitment and retention of the best candidates.
• Develop staff ensuring continuous learning of the Team to improve overall staff competencies.
• Effectively communicate and ensure compliance with company goals, values, strategy and policies.
• Maintain a credible leadership profile in line with the Organisational culture both internally and externally.
• Ensure all staff performance are managed in accordance with the company’s performance appraisal system aligned with our goals.
• Ensure staff have the tools (hardware) and support to be effective and productive.
• Ensure the team is functioning as a productive positive unit, working together well with other departments, while maintaining high work standards.
• Support staff to resolve issues and overcome challenges.
• Manage/Do Brilliant in Basic reports.
