We are seeking an Associate Partner to join our Customer and Marketing Services practice. You are an experienced consultant looking for an entrepreneurial opportunity to grow and create value within a locally owned and empowered organisation. You have strong capabilities in Customer Insights, Customer Experience, Marketing and Brand Strategy. You have deep expertise in Retail and Consumer Goods and experience of practice management, team and capability building and business development. The key objective

 

Reporting to the Partner, you will form part of a management team responsible for developing and delivering the overarching Practice Strategy for our Customer and Marketing business.

 

In line with this Practice strategy, you will be responsible for developing and managing your divisional strategy and for meeting the divisional revenue and profitability targets. In order to meet these targets, you will attract, retain and develop a high performing team to ensure high quality delivery to the client base.

 

Key responsibilities include:

 

The Associate Partner will be accountable for a portfolio of clients and market opportunities and will be required to:

  • Develop the divisional value proposition and supporting capabilities
  • Develop client account strategy together with account teams
  • Identify and develop new client and market opportunities
  • Lead sales and business development efforts across new and existing clients
  • Oversee project performance and deliverables, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction
  • Develop and grow the delivery team and manage their career progression
  • Lead the development of new and existing capabilities in order to deliver the value proposition
  • Develop relevant thought leadership and work with marketing to build personal and business profile
  • Develop and enhance long term relationships with executives across the client business
  • Monitor budget, profitability and timelines of client projects
  • Ensure prompt billing, collections and budget compliance
  • Meet and exceed assigned revenue and profitability targets

Key Requirements:

 

Desired Skills and Experience

  • 5 to 10 years of professional experience in a leading, reputable consulting organisation
  • Demonstrable industry and domain depth
  • Deep experience in retail and consumer goods preferred
  • Excellent academic credentials from top tier programs
  • Experience as an effective driver of consulting sales activities and proven ability to sell consulting services
  • Experience motivating and leading a large, multi-cultural, cross functional team
  • Experience facilitating high level client meetings and managing a robust portfolio of client projects
  • Ability to understand a client’s business, as well as industry and segment trends
  • Ability to work independently and proactively in a dynamic environment
  • Willingness to be onsite at client locations and travel to support the needs of the business
  • Excellent client presence and proven client relationship building capability; willing to provide senior / top level client references
  • Depth to support practice methodology, growth and mentor the practice team members
