FMCG company based in KZN seeks a Digital Marketing Manager to join their team. 


Ideal candidate is an organized, analytical person with strong technical skills. They will be able to multitask effectively and be able to problem-solve when needed. A Digital Marketing Manager will be able to successfully manage a team of people. They must be creative, pragmatic and eager to learn. 


Job specs: 



    • Oversee all aspects of the digital marketing department, to ensure they implement the overall digital marketing strategy 


    •  Manage the digital marketing campaigns and strategy 


    • Manage and oversee the various digital marketing channels, including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and mailers 


    • Manage the digital marketing budget 


    • Manage the Digital Marketing Team, 1 direct report 


    • Oversee all social media accounts 


    • Edit and approve all content 


    • Identify ways to improve quality of online content and digital marketing platform performance 


    • Lead, supervise and motivate members of the digital marketing team 


    • Research competitors and provide suggestions for improvement 


    • Keep a close eye on industry, market trends, best practices and overall knowledge of digital marketing 


    • Liaise with Marketing Managers to coordinate ad campaigns that align with digital marketing strategy 


    • Identifies process improvements and procedural challenges, recommending appropriate solutions. 


    • Work with the digital marketing team to brainstorm new and innovative growth strategies 


    • Develop ecommerce campaigns to increase digital sales 


    • Create promotion plan for ecommerce platforms 


    • Be responsible for determining the format and features of the website in order to maximize clarity and ease of navigation for customers. Liaise with Web designers to develop and alter websites as needed. 


    • Keep abreast of new developments in the e-marketing world. Research the brands core demographics and how to best reach them, in order to maximize search engine traffic and the effect of the company’s targeted ad buys. 


    • Plan for e-marketing expenditures well in advance and develop a financial plan that will maximize resources. 


    • Liaise directly with senior management and present plans for any new advances or initiatives to improve the company’s online presence and e-sales. 


    • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned. 








    • BA in Marketing, Digital technologies or similar relevant field 


    • 5 years of experience as a Digital Marketing Manager 


    • 5 years of experience in developing and implementing digital marketing strategies 


    • 3 years of hands-on experience with SEO, Google Analytics and CRM software 



• Extensive experience with practices and techniques related to web merchandising or online retailing. 
• Experience with WooCommerce or similar. 
• Extensive experience with Buffer or Hootsuite. 
• Operational knowledge of techniques required for market research and analysis. 
• Sound knowledge of website management and eCommerce usability. 
• Good knowledge of all different digital marketing channels 
• Good knowledge and experience with online marketing tools and best practices 
• Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on a company’s success
