SPECIFICATION

The purpose of this role is to assist the company to accomplish its objectives and improve operations by adding value through performing audit reviews on critical risk areas and recommending improvements to the control environment. Must be familiar with ISO 9001 standards 

 

Responsibilities

  • Assisting Internal Audit manager in the compilation and review of the internal audit plan.
  • Providing recommendations regarding improvements to Group Internal Audit.
  • Functional:
  • Assisting with the preparation of submissions to management, Board
  • Committees and other stakeholders.
  • Responsible for planning and scoping of allocated audit assignments.
  • Executing audit procedures, including reviewing transactions, documents, records, reports and policies and procedures for accuracy and effectiveness.
  • Preparing audit files which record and summarise audit procedures performed, including the preparation of audit findings.
  • Writing audit reports in the required format and source appropriate management comments.
  • Performing other assigned ad hoc duties.
  • Building and maintaining professional relationships with audit clients and team members.
  • Co-ordinating efforts with relevant departments such as risk management, forensics, etc.
  • Staff Management:
  • Reviewing work of team members and manage performance, productivity and deadlines.
  • Creating a learning culture through continuous skills development and knowledge transfer.
  • Promoting and developing team spirit
