SPECIFICATION

A business delivering effective and advanced solutions for the life sciences sector is looking for a Sales Support Specialist to be responsible for building and maintain customer relationship through the facilitation of order fulfilment and query resolution for specialised product range using non face-to-face communication channels. In addition, the role will working co-operatively with the Sales team to grow customer base.

 

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Processing of specialised quotations; purchase orders and sales orders requests for IDT Custom DNA oligo product range
  • Preparation of quotations requiring specialized scientific input
  • Conducting market research on industry trends, future funding opportunities, key role players and preparing reports for management
  • Identifying levels of customer satisfaction or dissatisfaction and relaying information to Management and the QMS
  • Assisting with the planning process for Company promotional events namely roadshows; research days and in-person demonstrations
  • Overall management of in-coming Request For Quotations (RFQ’s) completion
  • Active participation in the completion of tender submissions’

 

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Completed tertiary qualification (BSc, BSc Hons, BTech, HTech, MTech) in either Microbiology; Biochemistry; Life Sciences or equivalent field
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience working in either customer service support role within a medical diagnostic/life science supplier environment or in a Laboratory management role
  • Understanding of laboratory practices and procedures
  • Knowledge of a customer focused quality management system (QMS) environment
  • Experience with government tender processes
  • Proficient in Excel
