SPECIFICATION

A leading FMCG exporter is currently looking for an experienced individual to fulfil the role of Wine Coordinator at their office based in Tyger valley, Cape Town.

We are looking for a vibrant, competent, and self-motivated team player with excellent communication, time-management, planning and organisational skills to join a wine Export team. The ideal candidate must have the ability to multitask and work accurately under pressure. The position requires excellent communication skills (Afrikaans & English) to liaise with suppliers and the shipping department.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES, NOT LIMITED TO:

• Acceptance of all wine export orders and communication with the suppliers to facilitate the delivery of orders
• Communication with suppliers in terms of future orders
• Relationship building and visits to all wine suppliers
• Maintaining and updating annual pricelists and images.
• All aspects of handling the export documentation for all orders, understanding of SAWIS and customs
• Follow through with the logistics of all wine orders in terms of vintages, stock changes etc.
• Assistance in the procurement of certain wines from the Cape wine region
• Administrative tasks associated with the logistics and export of wine.

REQUIREMENTS

• Matric required, a relevant tertiary qualification will be advantageous
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role relating to exports, logistics or sales & procurement environment, particularly in the wine industry.
• Knowledge of SAWIS and compliance regulations
• Excellent computer literacy (Ezy Wine, MS Office, specifically Microsoft Excel)
• Experience in workflow designs or creation of a logistics system or process would be advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work methodically and meet tight deadlines
