A business supplying signage to the retail industry is looking for a Finishing & Packing Manager to supervise the Finishing and packaging operation, usually within the factory or warehouse environment. You will be responsible for overseeing other employees within the operation and ensuring that goods are packed correctly and in time for distribution. Packaging managers are responsible for proper maintenance of packaging machines, scheduling staff for efficiency, and ensuring the availability of packaging materials and goods to be packaged. Overseeing training and possible recruitment of employees for the packaging line is an added role. Finishing manager is required to work closely with the other departments to monitor the flow of production as well as being aligned with production planning and scheduling around orders.


  • Manage production schedule daily to make educated decisions concerning inventory requirements, staffing requirements, work procedures, and duty assignments.
  • Work in concert with QC to ensure quality of finished goods.
  • Maintain and clean departments to insure housekeeping and clean production lines.
  • Schedule productions lines to insure efficient and timely turnover of goods through production to meet assigned deadlines.
  • Manage production requirements, staffing requirements, work procedures, and duty assignments.
  • Re-Organize department daily workflow to improving communication, standardizing work, improving visual management, to increase participation and effectiveness.
  • Management of 2 teams (Finishing and Packaging)


  • Education required: High school diploma or equivalency.
  • Experience required: Minimum 5 years’ experience in Management and Finishing.
  • Skills, knowledge, or abilities: Read, write, speak the English language fluently and good math skills.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands, arms and fingers to perform routine tasks, and talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
