A Financial Services provider in Cape Town providing innovative, flexible, and convenient finance solutions, is looking for a Financial Manager.




  • Technical Skills – Analyzing data for reasonability and trends. Using the information from a variety of sources to make value-added recommendations
  • Identify key areas for improvement and make recommendations
  • Develop and analyze information to assess the current and future financial status of the company and communicate to the senior management team
  • Assist General Manager in commercial deal making with key partnerships
  • Take ownership and accountability for tasks and activities and demonstrate effective self-management.
  • Financial management duties including:
    • Preparing budgets and tracking against actuals monthly;
    • Preparing cash flow statements; and
    • Preparing financial management account and reports
  • Communicate with stakeholders at a senior level in the organization up to Executive Level, with respect to their financials and delivery on their strategic objectives where applicable
  • Maintaining the financial records of the organization
  • Prepare and process month end journals and schedules - prepayments, accruals, provisions
  • Review and assist with balance sheet recons: debtors, creditors, VAT & bank reconciliations
  • Daily authorisation of creditor payments
  • Research and prepare IFRS memos
  • Implement and make recommendations for improvement to financial processes
  • Prepare VAT, PAYE, and Income Tax submissions
  • Any adhoc tasks required to assist the Group Financial Manager and Company Director
  • Management of finance team members
  • Maintain internal control systems
  • Sound knowledge and ability to review debtors and creditors ageing for any irregularities and querying where necessary
  • Knowledge of accounting systems – the company uses a custom-built integrated accounting system connecting the debtors book to the general ledger.
  • Ensure that all financial statutory requirements of the organization are met and prepare all supporting information for the annual audit and liaise with the Audit Committee and the external auditors as necessary.
  • Preparation of the Group Annual Financial Statements



Basic Qualifications:

  • CA (SA)
  • 3 years accounting experience
