SPECIFICATION   

A business providing an online learning environment for grades 4-12 is looking for a Marketing Manager to help create and implement a growth strategy to enable the company to scale successfully in South Africa and beyond.

Working in conjunction with the management team and the inhouse and outsourced marketing teams, the marketing manager will oversee all sales and marketing operations to execute key strategic sales and marketing initiatives.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES, NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Development of digital and traditional marketing strategies both paid & organic
  • Ability to analyse and understand the effectiveness of digital campaigns
  • Implement marketing strategy over platforms (Facebook, Instagram, linkedin)
  • Assist with creative and production oversights for articles, videos, social posts and emails
  • Ability to oversee website performance ensuring Search Engine Optimisation and optimal website analytics
  • Development of Brand Strategy and identity positioning
  • Development of Social Media campaigns & management – both paid & organic
  • Content production & design
  • Management of Influencer campaigns
  • Familiarity with A/B testing techniques, look-a-like campaigns, data enrichment, quiz tech, and retargeting
  • Ability to be nimble and frugal ensuring that small amounts of spend go along way.
  • Experience of start-up companies and early stage businesses
  • Identify and refine the delivery channels for all internal and external marketing (email, printed collateral for distribution, intranet, events, social media, websites, and internal campaigns)
  • Assist with creative and production oversights for articles, videos, social posts and emails

REQUIREMENTS  

  • Undergraduate Degree. Postgraduate degree preferred.
  • 3+ years in progressively responsible marketing leadership roles demonstrating a variety of roles and experience.
  • Experience demonstrating previous strategic execution in a marketing role.
  • Previous experience with rapidly growing start-ups preferred.
  • Position can be based anywhere with some flexibility in working hours.
  • Ability to take initiative.

Required Knowledge & Previous Experience

  • Ability to be nimble and frugal ensuring that small amounts of spend go a long way.
  • Experience of start-up companies and early stage businesses
  • Existing clientele and portfolio a definite advantage
  • Previous experience of running a business an advantage
