SPECIFICATION   

A family grocery supermarket chain is looking for a Regional Butchery Manager.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES, NOT LIMITED TO:

• Achieve butchery department profitability using agreed framework to deliver the required.
• Efficient range and stock management.
• Efficient management of suppliers of product and equipment.
• Successful new store openings.
• Excellent customer service.
• Keeping a clean, safe working and shopping environment.
• A complete understanding of systems, policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Motivate butchery teams.
• Excellent self-management (must be able to work independently).

REQUIREMENTS  

• Matric
• Qualified Blockman
• A Butchery Management qualification would be advantageous
• Extensive butchery experience is ESSENTIAL!
• 8-10 years’ butchery management experience (multiple store management).
• Retail management courses a strong advantage.
• Code 08 driver’s license.
• Strong computer skills (MS Office, Email / Internet).
• Attention to detail and competent administration skills.
• Merchandising standards and principles
• Knowledge of meat cuts/products
• Good communication skills
