A new opportunity has become available for a Management Accountant within our business. The successful candidate will be responsible for the consolidated financial reporting for five divisions within the company’s business as well as all support services.

Our ideal candidate must ensure the reliability, completeness and accurate of financial information and reporting used within the organization for optimal decision-making and to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of business operations and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for three direct reports, so leadership and management skills are important. The candidate must be customer service orientation and committed to deadlines are crucial.
The candidate also needs to work well within a team.
The Applicant will need to demonstrate their consistent record of determination and drive, to demonstrate their interpersonal and communication skills at all levels in the Company, and a value system that embraces the Company’s Speciality values, vision, and strategy.
Start date, as soon as possible, we are looking for someone urgently.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES, NOT LIMITED TO:
• To compile, verify and issue financial reports required by the business, which includes monthly/ quarterly and year-end, this includes Statutory Reporting to holding company.
• Required to drive the budgeting process and preparing the final budget submissions for all divisions.
This includes working with business units to get the budgets uploaded on the systems and consolidate for presentation purposes.
• To complete the financial forecasting and consolidation of the 3-year plan.
This includes building templates for submissions to holding company.
• Maintain and manage the roll-up sheets system (Finnivo) for the divisions (budgeting/reporting tool).
• Review GL recon processes for support services which operates as a central part of all divisions/brands.
• Communicate finance information to the business as required.
• Draft and Complete and get Annual financial statements signed off.
• Liaise with the External auditors.
• Assisting Tax Accountant with Tax Calculations at Year end and for Financials Statements.
• Various ad-hoc requests.


INHERENT MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE):

• Minimum of 3 to 5 years’ general accounting experience.
• B Comm with articles is the minimum educational requirement, with CA (SA), CIMA, ACCA advantageous.
• Advantage to have worked within Retail Industry
• Previous experience in Management Accounting within retail environment advantageous.
• Proficiency in the latest Microsoft packages (Word, Advanced Excel and PowerPoint) is an essential requirement and G-suite will be advantageous.
• Good presentation and communication skills.
• A strong logical thinking and analytical ability with excellent numerical skills.
• The ability to be accurate and pay attention to detail.
• Has a high energy level, is performance and deadline driven.
• Excellent planning, organizing and time management skills.
• Ability to remain flexible, function under pressure and maintain a positive attitude and work performance in a variety of circumstances.
• Ability to multi-task and to deal with complexities, use initiative to solve problems.
• Ability to work independently, as well as be a team player.
