Job Details

A company providing hardware and software solutions across multiple sectors including retail, financial services, education and live events; is looking for a Procurement Assistant, who will be responsible to undertake day to day administrative duties in support of the procurement and stock control function.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES, NOT LIMITED TO:
• Fixed Asset Administration
• Ensure effective Stock Control procedures are adhered to
• Management of stakeholder list
• Ensure sound knowledge of technical requirements for stock & part ordering
• Source reliable suppliers and contractors and obtain the most cost effective quotations
• Ensure procurement orders are received, following the agreed stock management procedure for new stock deliveries
• Ensure monthly recon of supplier accounts are done
• Update and maintain Smartsheet with all purchased stock (spec, price, stakeholder etc)
• Maintain and update company Wiki
• Make use of the company Wiki for all job-related processes and procedures
• Attend regular meetings
• Ensure updated communication with team and management
• Maintain sound relationship with all suppliers
• Ensure any problems, queries or concerns are escalated to management as and when required
• Ensure your tickets are managed
• Ensure your IT tracker feedback is submitted by deadline
• Ensure proper updates and closing details are added to OTRS tickets
• Ensure you stay within the predefined Service Level Agreement (SLA) times
• Assist with various OTRS reports as requested by management
• Weekly and monthly reporting
• Drafting required correspondence and ad hoc tasks, as required from time to time

REQUIREMENTS:
• Grade 12 or equivalent certificate essential
• Certificate or Diploma in Bookkeeping
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in creditors reconciliations and accounts
• Minimum 1 years’ procurement experience
• Sound knowledge of general ledger accounting and allocations
• Proficient skills in Microsoft applications, especially Word and Excel
